Great Wall Motors Expands Cooperation with Delphi

On November 1, Wei Jianjun, chairman of Great Wall Motors, and M ajdi A bulaban, president of Delphi Group Asia Pacific, signed a strategic cooperation agreement. According to the agreement, the two parties will carry out in-depth system cooperation on the basis of the existing electronic control systems, fuel pumps and other products, including the electronic and electrical architecture systems, electronics and safety, powertrain systems and thermal systems.

In addition, Great Wall Motors and Delphi also signed a letter of intent, and both parties will jointly research and develop active safety and navigation products and apply them to future models of Great Wall Motors.

Great Wall Motors has a long history of cooperation with the Delphi Group. As early as 2005, Delphi's electronic control system has been applied to the Great Wall 491Q E gasoline engine. In 2010, the “Green Static 2.0T” engine independently developed by Great Wall uses Delphi electronically controlled high pressure common rail system.
