A kyanite mineral is produced from garnet, kyanite and biotite in the slant gneiss , belonging to the regional metamorphic kyanite deposit. Major minerals are: kyanite, iron-aluminum garnet, quartz, feldspar, biotite, feldspar, red limonite.
Second, the beneficiation process
According to the differences in physical properties, magnetic properties, density and floating properties of minerals embedded in ore, a sorting process with flotation, re-election and magnetic separation was developed for sorting. The selection process is shown in Figure 1.
Third, the results
The ore grade is 10%-15% containing kyanite and 20.62% of Al 2 O 3 . The concentrate grade is 81.99% containing kyanite, 55.38% of Al 2 O 3 and the recovery rate of kyanite is 55.87%.
The ore is selected to have a particle size of 0.2 mm and is mainly flotation. The magnetic products obtained by the magnetic separation operation can be obtained by shaking the bed to obtain a garnet concentrate with a purity of 80%, which can be comprehensively utilized.
Fourth, the production practice of andalusite
(1) Ore properties
A certain andalusite mine is a plaque-shaped column with large particles, generally 5 to 15 mm, and crystallizes intact. Half of the andalusite contains carbonaceous inclusions (cyanite). The matrix part is mainly sericite, biotite, plagioclase and quartz. The particle size is generally 0.1-0.5 mm, the matrix is ​​a shale-like structure, and the matrix is ​​magnetic. The ore contains montmorillonite 8% to 10% and Al 2 O 3 20.77%
(2) Beneficiation process and results
The magnetic (medium field strength)-strong magnetic, magnetic-strong magnetic-fine grinding flotation process was tested, and the latter was better. Which sorting process is shown in Figure 2.
The obtained andalusite concentrate is 99.32% containing andalusite, 56.88% of Al 2 O 3 , and the recovery rate of andalusite can reach 76.07%.
Fifth, the production practice of sillimanite
(1) Ore properties
A sillimanite ore is self-shaped, fibrous, columnar, and crystal-morphized. Its main minerals are sillimanite, magnetite, quartz, magnesium iron spinel, biotite, kaolinite, sericite and so on. The ore contains about 31% of sillimanite and 21.06% of Al 2 O 3 .
(2) Selection process and results
The selection process is to separate the iron minerals by weak magnetic separation after grinding, and then float the sillimanite, as shown in Fig. 3. The flotation principle process includes rough selection, sweeping and multiple selections.
