advantage:

2, high speed can be directly connected with the motor or steam turbine structure is simple and compact, size and weight than the same flow of the reciprocating pump is much smaller, low cost;

3, is not sensitive to impurities, fewer wearing parts, management and maintenance more convenient. Regardless of whether it is on land or on board, the number and use of centrifugal pumps exceed that of other types of pumps.

Disadvantages:

2. The Q of the pump changes with the working head and H increases. When Q decreases to the closed head, the pump is idling without draining. It is not suitable for oil pump, fuel pump, etc. where Q does not change with H;

3. The lift is determined by D2 and n. It is not suitable for small Q and high H. This requires that the impeller flow path is narrow and long, making it difficult to manufacture and the efficiency is too low. The maximum pressure generated by the centrifugal pump is limited, so it is not necessary to install a safety valve.
