China Drying News November 19, Xinjiang Tianye independently developed a new type of mercury catalyst into a single-tube industrial sideline device. This is the second generation of new mercury catalyst developed by Xinjiang Tianye after successfully developing a low solid mercury catalyst.

It is understood that Xinjiang Tianye Low Solid Mercury Catalyst has been applied stably in the 1.2 million t/y PVC production facility of Xinjiang Tianye. The catalyst has a maximum service life of more than 12,000 hours, an activity increase of more than 10%, and a longevity of more than 20%. The volatilization loss rate of mercury is reduced by more than 30%. On this basis, the Xinjiang Tianye Research Institute has spent more than one year researching the laboratory to improve the formulation, select the optimal solution, and develop a second generation of new solid mercury catalyst. After the industrial sideline operation is over, the catalyst will be used as a substitute for solid mercury catalyst in the PVC production line.
