According to BMW Korea, the recalled vehicles will be expanded to the “soft models” installed on the “egr” module, and large-scale administrative measures will be taken. Depending on the model of the different models, the production date is different. From March 2011 to November 2016, the BMW diesel models produced by the model ranged from 100,63,17 vehicles.

From July 27th, the vehicle inquiry service recalled by BMW Korea website and the official BMW "Service Center" will be able to confirm the target vehicle.

BMW Korea and the German headquarters investigation team conducted a thorough investigation and found that there may be a fire in some models due to the abnormality of the "egr module" of the exhaust generator. A related person from BMW Korea said: "Before the full recall, the emergency safety diagnosis service will be given priority from the 27th. The emergency safety diagnosis prevention service will be carried out directly to the service center by the weekend and extended to the weekend by visiting the diagnostic service. ."

This emergency measure is a service that BMW Professional Technology will diagnose the internal conditions of the egr parts and provide follow-up measures based on the diagnosis results. The emergency safety diagnosis service will be implemented from the "BMW official service center" 4 (Kelong Shengshan, bibazzio), Daocheng Shengshui, Tongcheng, Haeundae, etc., starting from July 31, will include access services. It is carried out in 61 service centers nationwide.

Starting from August 20th, the official recall of the egr module will begin from the official BMW Service Center. Replace the “egr module” with the “improved product” and dry-clean the deposits deposited in the egr tube.

At the same time, BMW Korea explained: “In order to improve customer trust, we are preparing compensation plans for the parts that cause customer uneasiness and inconvenience.” If a fire occurs on the vehicle, it will be managed regularly through the bmw official service center. The customer of the vehicle provides cash compensation equivalent to 100% of the market value.
