China Silian Instrument Group invests 2.1 billion LED project

Reading: On the morning of the 14th, China Shuanglian Instrument Group Co., Ltd. injected capital of 2.1 billion yuan, and the LED industry project built in the Baima Industrial Park in Wulong, Chongqing was officially started. The launch of the project will promote Chongqing to become the world's largest sapphire LED substrate production base, China's first-class new light source production base and national LED lighting engineering R&D center.

It is understood that LED lighting is another revolution in lighting sources following incandescent and fluorescent lamps. Because of its rapid technological development, extensive application fields, strong industry-led, and large energy-saving potential, it is recognized as the most promising high-efficiency lighting industry in the world. The sapphire substrate material is the most important basic material for LED epitaxial wafers and chip products, and it is an international high-end LED chip industry upstream technology product.

The LED industry project of China’s Silian Group and the Wulong County Government is the largest investment project in Wulong County and the highest technology content. According to Xiang Xiaobo, chairman and general manager of China’s Silian Group, in the next few years, the group will build a largest LED industry chain with a scale of RMB 10 billion in Chongqing.
