Dajiang divides the standard of the industrial drone solution into 5 parts (as shown in the figure below):
Industry drone solution standard diagram
Flight platform: It mainly performs various types of missions, including racks, power systems, flight control, and related image transmission, obstacle avoidance, batteries, ground stations, and communication systems. Currently, Dajiang's flight platforms mainly include four series: Phantom, Inspire, Jingwei, and MG, which correspond to standard-level, advanced-class, professional-level industry users, and agricultural users.
Load: Mainly refers to the equipment carried on the drone to perform specific tasks. Currently, it is mainly based on optical loads and needs to be used with the PTZ, such as various types of cameras, infrared cameras, multi-spectral sensors, etc. There are also non-optical loads, such as agricultural plant protection. The spraying system of the machine, the fire-fighting equipment used on the power line, the megaphones and searchlights used in security.
Application Software: The drone software system is divided into two parts: flight management and data processing. Flight management mainly includes pre-flight preparation and in-flight control. DJI Go software or GS Pro ground station in Dajiang can achieve such functions. Most drone industry applications are used to collect data, so how to perform fast and effective analysis is actually the key. The function of the software in the future will gradually increase, including the planning of the flight path, the way of obtaining data (such as the camera angle), the management of drone fleet and so on.
Service: UAV industry application service system includes maintenance, system integration, insurance, leasing, used equipment trading, etc. Some of Dajiang’s partners have long proposed the concept of 4S similar to the automotive industry and hope to create a “4S shop†for drones. For industry drones, the relevant service packages must keep up, otherwise the user's use cost and use risk will be very high. DJI has already established mature service systems such as DJI Care, third-party liability insurance and second-hand recycling.
Training: For industry-grade drones, training a large number of professional operators is a top priority. Dajiang set up Huifei UAV Application Technology Training Center in June of this year to specially train various professional drone operators to resolve the shortcomings of “human†in the industry drone value chain. The training center currently has three professional courses on plant protection, aerial photography and electricity. As an industry drone as a production tool, its operators need to receive professional technical training to be competent for the relevant positions, so that the drones really function.
