Dust is a solid particle floating in the air, and its diameter is generally between 0.002 and 500 microns. Dust is generated in various production steps such as rock drilling, blasting, ore transportation, crushing, and mineral processing . When the material falls from a high place, the excess pressure of the air causes dust to be generated. For example, the mine bin falls by gravity, causing the surrounding air to flow. When the ore falls on the ground or equipment, the airflow lifts the fine solid particles to form dust. Movement of materials and machinery in a closed enclosure creates excess air pressure and also produces dust. For example, during the screening process of the cylindrical sieve, when the cylinder is operated at a certain peripheral speed, a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure will be generated in the sieve near the sieve wall, and the pressure at the cylinder axis of the sieve is less than atmospheric pressure due to The pressure difference exists, so the airflow tends to flow toward the opening, and if not handled properly, dust will also be generated.
Therefore, under the pressure condition of partial air excess, the airflow will drive the solid fine particles to float, which is the main reason for forming dust.
