The Wärtsilä (ship hangar) 31 engine (purchasing supply), which is certified by the Guinness World Records as the world's most efficient 4-stroke diesel engine (purchased by the product library), has won another award – at 4 At the European Ship Engineering Symposium held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on the 13th, the Wärtsilä 31 engine won the “Marine Engine†award.
    It is reported that the product that won the award must be “an innovative and original engine technology that demonstrates engineering innovation and change.â€

When launched in 2015, it set a new benchmark for 4-stroke engines, using the latest technology. Optimizing the ship's entire life cycle opens the door to providing customers with the industry's most advanced, powerful, fuel efficient, flexible and environmentally friendly engines."
    The Wärtsilä 31 engine is available in three versions: diesel, dual fuel and spark ignition gas. It can service a wide range of ship types with propulsion power from 4.2 to 9.8 MW.
    The first Wärtsilä 31 engine was built in September 2015 and will be used in a new generation of icebreakers (ship type shipyards) for the latest technology. The new ship is currently being built at the Russian PJSC Vyborg shipyard. The shipowner is Russian state-owned atomic energy. The company ROSATOM is affiliated with FSUE Atomflot.
