TA Southwest Petrochemical Plant upgrades synthetic compressor

In late October, the centrifugal compressors after the upgrading of the synthesis plant in the Southwest Petrochemical Plant of the Tarim Oilfield were formally put into use. After the equipment was put into use, it eliminated a major potential safety hazard that plagued the plant for 18 years, and solved the problems of large pipeline vibration, serious pollution of noise and ammonia smell caused by the operation of reciprocating compressors in the past.

The pulseless centrifugal compressor is a built-in type, and has many advantages such as shock absorption, no external leakage, low noise, less wearing parts, less maintenance cost, less gas pollution, and prolonged catalyst service life compared with the reciprocating compressor. During the 72-hour trial run, the compressor was quite stable and vibration was completely eliminated.

The similarity in external appearance of the various alloys, along with the different combinations of elements used when making each alloy, can lead to confusion when categorizing the different compositions. There are as many as 400 different copper and copper alloy compositions loosely grouped into the categories: copper, high copper alloy, brasses, bronzes, copper nickels, copper–nickel–zinc (nickel silver), leaded copper, and special alloys.
